The Ingestion of Tomato Paste help against Sunburn

Skin Care TreatmentScientists believe that these beneficial effects are due to the presence in tomato of a powerful antioxidant known as lycopene.

Ingestion of concentrated tomato paste, such as covering the pizzas, can help prevent sunburn on the skin and premature aging, according to a British study.

Researchers at the University of Manchester asked a group of ten volunteers who ingested the equivalent of five tablespoons of tomato paste and ten grams of olive oil for twelve weeks and an equivalent, which only take the oil.

The scientists exposed volunteers in both groups at the beginning and the end of the experiment to ultraviolet radiation and found that the first group were 33 percent less likely to burn at the second exposure to sunlight.

The effect of concentrated tomato paste factor was equivalent to 1.3 of a protective skin cream, as scientists estimated.

The tomato-based diet also increased levels of procollagen, a molecule that helps maintain skin suppleness.

Scientists believe that these beneficial effects are due to the presence in tomato of a powerful antioxidant known as lycopene.

This substance, which is what gives the green color to tomatoes, it has the ability to neutralize harmful molecules produced in skin exposed to ultraviolet rays.

The damage that these free radicals produced in the structures of the skin leading to premature aging and in extreme cases of skin cancer.

Thus, another team from Newcastle University found that lycopene limits the harmful effects of sunlight on the DNA of the mitochondria (cellular organelles responsible for the provisioning and management of energy for cellular processes).

Disturbances experienced by mitochondrial DNA are also associated with skin aging.

Commenting on the results of these experiments, Professor Lesley Rhodes, dermatologist at the University of Manchester, said he did not have to think that tomatoes can replace skin creams, but can enhance its effect.

“If the individual fails to improve their protection in the long run through diet, this can have a significant effect,” said British scientist.

The results of both studies were presented at the annual meeting of the British Society for Dermatological Research at Oxford

The Three Most Important for Healthy Skin

Skin Care TreatmentCleaning removes dirt, bacteria, grease, dead skin cells, sweat and other impurities from the skin. Unfortunately, the cleaning also can dry and irritate the skin, especially sensitive skin. Use a cleaning product that is soft.

The program for skin care should include the following three steps:

1. Cleaning
Twice a day, morning and night, wash your face with a mild cleanser. Massage gently without rubbing your skin. Rinse. Dry with a towel using light strokes.

2. Hydration
While the skin is still wet by rinsing, apply a mild lotion or cream to retain moisture.

3. Protection
Do not forget to apply sunscreen daily. In addition to premature aging, the sun can darken the melasma. Adequate protection against damage from the sun is vital for women suffering from melasma, Always Avoid exposure to sunlight, sunlamps, or UV rays and heat, wind or cold. In case you have to be exposed to these items, use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day. Brimmed hats can express their style and, at the same time create shade for your face. Do not forget to wear sunglasses to protect the delicate eye tissue and prevention of strabismus.

Homemade Face Masks

Homemade facial masks are very easy to do. The first thing you should know is that there are two types: the relaxing and stimulating. The relaxation is to moisturize the skin and cool. The stimulants are the ones that cause the blood to flow better, leaving the skin firm.

Both types of masks offer the best protection against dry skin, acne and scars. Of course, everything depends on what ingredients to take, but the purpose is almost always those that are appointed. Ideally, allow themselves to be placed at least 15 minutes, but if necessary can also be overnight. Then clean the face and moisturize again.

The process must begin with a normal cleaning with mild soap and hot steam or hot face cloth to open pores and the masks work better. Put a little honey to prepare the skin.
